You do not need a wedding date to deserve good photographs. Griffin Creative Co is a documentary couples photography studio based in Kansas City, Missouri. Since 2018, we have photographed people in love exactly as they are. Anniversaries, date nights, new homes, big moves, or no occasion at all. Sessions run $300 per hour.
Most couples own hundreds of phone photos and zero real ones. Blurry selfies, one arm always missing. A session fixes this in an hour. You get photographs of the two of you together, in real light, looking like yourselves.
Documentary Couples Photography
Forget the stiff prom pose. We build sessions around movement and time together. Walk, talk, cook, dance badly in the kitchen. We give gentle prompts when you want them, then photograph what happens between the two of you.
The editing stays evergreen. True colors, honest skin tones, nothing trendy. These photos should look right on your wall for decades.
A Session for Every Reason
Anniversary photos, whether year one or year forty. A date night, documented, instead of another forgotten Friday. New house, new city, new baby on the way. Some couples book a session for the fridge and the group chat. Some book one because the last real photo of them together is from someone else’s wedding. Every reason counts, including none at all.

Where We Shoot in Kansas City
Anywhere the two of you feel at home. The River Market on a Saturday morning. Union Station and the lights downtown. Berkley Riverfront at sunset. The Liberty Memorial lawn at golden hour. Your own kitchen, coffee in hand, still in slippers. In-home sessions are some of our favorite work, because home is where couples act like themselves.
Book as many locations as fit inside your time. Travel within 35 miles of downtown Kansas City is included. Beyond 35 miles, travel is billed at cost and quoted as one flat number before you book.

How Booking Works
- Inquire. Send your date idea and what you are picturing. We reply within 72 hours.
- Plan. A quick call to pick locations, timing, and outfits.
- Sign. A simple contract reserves your date. A 50% nonrefundable retainer holds your spot, and the balance is due 30 days before your session. Booking inside 30 days? The full amount is due at signing.
- Shoot. One relaxed hour or two, no rushing, no stiff poses. Your gallery arrives within 4 to 6 weeks.

How much does a couples photoshoot cost in Kansas City?
Sessions at Griffin Creative Co run $300 per hour with a one hour minimum. Most couples book one or two hours, so plan on $300 to $600. Every price is listed above, nothing hidden.
How long should our session be?
One hour covers one location and one outfit comfortably. Two hours opens up multiple spots, an outfit change, and time to settle in. Nervous in front of cameras? Book the second hour. The best photos usually show up after the first twenty minutes.
What should we wear for our couples session?
Whatever feels like you on a good day. Outfit planning help comes with every session, and our short version is this: pick clothes you move well in, favor colors over loud patterns, and skip anything brand new. Comfort photographs better than costume.
Do you photograph anniversary sessions?
Every year deserves one, whether this is your first or your fortieth. Anniversary sessions book the same way at the same rate, and they make a better gift than another dinner out.
When will we get our photos?
Expect 35 to 55 finished images for each hour, all hand edited, within 4 to 6 weeks. In a hurry? Rush delivery brings your gallery in 1 week for $200.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes. Travel within 35 miles of downtown Kansas City is included. Beyond 35 miles, travel is billed at cost as one flat line item, quoted before you book.
